I just want to give a big shout out to all our guests for coming and staying with us this past summer. We have had so much positive feedback and incredible reviews, we are truly humbled.
To say thank you we have decided to donate a part of our guest fees to a cause we feel very passionate about – ‘Anti-trafficking’.
Tear Fund NZ does some incredible work around the world protecting and rescuing young men and women who are the target of human trafficking. We are honoured to support the work they and their partner organisations do.
We would love it if you familiarise yourself with the work of organisations such as Tear Fund, A21, Hagar, and Nvader to name a few, and give them your full support.

There are more slaves in the world today than at any other point in human history, with an estimated 27 million in bondage across the globe. Men, women, and children are being exploited for manual and sexual labor against their will.

Well for our first season I have been stoked at how busy we have been. The three weeks over Christmas and New Years we were totally booked solid and now these three weeks over the Chinese New Year have produced the same results. It’s been keeping me on my toes and we are learning a lot… fast!

Everything was provided to make us feel at home while we were camping there, so you can truly get away and just forget about everything. Really convenient to bike riding at Deans Bank track and swimming at Dublin Bay. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay for longer.” Rebekah

“Our experience with Amy and Mikey’s Glamping was incredible. When we arrived at the hilly site, Amy showed us around and gave us a little brief about how things worked. She was very friendly and engaging and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The tent was incredibly set up with a very comfortable double/queen size bed with lovely soft bedding, we had chairs and board games and a little table with water and all the camping essentials plus more. The shower was terrific with very good water pressure and a nice and toasty set temperature. The toilet setup was great – clean and easy to use. There was also a sink and a barbecue to cook on, which would be easy to figure out if you aren’t familiar with them. She also showed us a little surprise chill out area with bench seats and a hammock overlooking the breath taking views of the lake and mountains surrounding the campsite. It got quite cold at night, though we were very comfortable and warm inside the tent. There are also hot water bottles and extra blankets for when it gets very chilly. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would recommend this to anyone looking to stay here. We will definitely be back!” Nic and Hannah

Well Christmas is all about family and we have been seeing plenty of that up at our Wilding Pines site this festive season. We have just welcomed our third family in a row to experience the wonder of glamping.
I have had fun decorating the tent too, to host three instead of two 🙂

It is always a delight having guests that have never gone camping before. Our desire in starting this business is to get people outdoors, into nature and experience sleeping under the stars, who otherwise would never do it. Our latest guests Toby and Yibing where delighted by their experience.
“Amy is a really nice host. The Glamping experience is awesome! The instruction provided by Amy is very detailed and make it easy to get that secret gorgeous place with stunning view. We recommend all Airbnb traveller to stay at this fantastic place if you want to have a special special experience in Wanaka.” Yibing
It is so great receiving our guests reviews, knowing that everyone is having a great time and finding our accommodation exceeds their expectations. We couldn’t have wished for better. This lovely couple decided to come glamping as a compromise to camping. The husband was keen on camping, the wife… well not so much :-). This way however they both got their wish and both loved every moment of it.

“The glamping site was better than we could have imagined. Every detail was thought through and we were very comfortable throughout our stay. It is about 15 minutes drive from Wanaka to get to the site, but we didn’t find it was a problem getting there in our car (a little bumpy ride, but totally safe). Amy was really helpful in showing us the site and how everything was set up. We had a lovely bed, hot shower, and cooking facilities. The sunset view over Lake Wanaka while we were sitting outside enjoying some bubbles is hard to beat”

We had a fabulous couple from Australia stay right after the hen’s party. They booked via our Airbnb listing and where fantastic guests. I just loved the expression from Bridie when I showed her inside the tent, it was priceless.
