What activities are offered in the area?

Dublin Bay Site has some great mountain biking right on its doorstep. An easy 10-15 minute ride around the lakefront will lead you straight to Deans Bank, an awesome one way single track with undulating terrain, jumps, and huge sweeping berms. It caters to intermediate to advanced riders. Or if you continue on the 4WD track you can follow tracks in either direction along the Clutha or Hawea rivers all the way into Wanaka or Hawea townships.

The 4WD drive track along the water front is also fun if you have a 4WD and doubles up as a great walking track.

Dublin bay itself is great for kayaking or boating should you have your own equipment and great for swimming and sunbathing.

Down the road there is a pottery barn with some nice pottery for sale, and from time to time they will also provide lessons for the novice.

Can I bring a stereo?

Dublin bay has no power on site so should you like to bring a stereo it will need to run on batteries. Please note however that this is a quiet zone and no loud music is to be played as the sound will travel across the water and disturb other guests or the neighbors even though they are some kilometers away.

Is there any power on site?

There is no power on site but we do provide a power bank in order to charge a mobile phone or camera battery

Is the water safe to drink?

We provide safe drinking water that comes from the Hawea townships water supply. If you would prefer sparkling or still spring water we can arrange this for you at an extra cost.
