Experts in our field, with a great eye for detail, we can organise any glamping event big or small.
Staying in a glamping hotel is an incredibly memorable experience, all the fun of camping but with the comforts of home. Our fully carpeted tents come furnished with high quality mattresses, beautiful linen, teak and leather furniture, gorgeous little decorations and of course fairy lights for that magical feeling. Whether you are hosting guests for your wedding, or organising a corporate retreat, you can rest assured that your guests will have a premium experience.
Being completely mobile enables us to cater to any size event, anywhere. We are located in Central Otago but can literally take our hotel all over the South Island and beyond. We work with venues and private land owners to find the perfect location for your party. On the day of your event, or prior to, our team will pitch and immaculately furnish your tents so they are ready and waiting for your guests. Then when the party is over and everyone has left, our team will be back to pack it all up without leaving a trace. You won’t have to lift a finger.
We also love to help our customers host smaller events. For example, slumber parties for the bride to be, birthday’s for both the young and mature, afternoon picnic baby showers or a surprise romantic retreat. We will set up the tents customised to your event, and can arrange floral and catering so you don’t have to do a thing. Extra’s such as hot tubs, outdoor theatres, team games, private chef’s, entertainment, bar service or coffee carts can all be arranged.
If you can dream it, we’ll work to create it.

This is the first time we "glamped" and we had a great time! The location was superb, and you really feel like you're away from it all. If you want something a little different, then look no further, this is a pretty unique experience.

My family of 5 came away totally happy and refreshed from the entire camping experience. Amy and Mikey are also great host, providing prompt assistance whenever needed. We had total privacy while knowing at the same time that assistance is just a call away. Everything was more than what we expected. Just fantastic. Highly recommended.

What a way to connect with the nature away from busy lifestyle.
This was a surprise for my husband. He had absolutely no idea where we were going. Amy was awesome at keeping the suspense. He was blown away...Everything was great.. we had all the facilities we needed. It was a peaceful experience which we both needed big time.
Night time was the best.. crystal clear sky and you can get lost staring at the stars. Very romantic.
Amy and Mikey have thought of everything. Highly recommend the additional meals and the antipasto platter was out of this world....

This is a very unique accommodation, a hybrid between camping and a stay at a boutique hotel (hence the term glamping!). Recommended for anyone looking for a unique experience.
A wonderful place to stay.
We spent two nights here at the end of November. The attention to detail and effort that has gone into making this a wonderful place to stay is clear.
This glamping tent is simply amazing! Wow! We had the most wonderful time out in nature. Amy and Mikey thought of every little touch to make our stay pleasurable. It was something out of a fairy tale going to bed with the fairy lights on and waking up with our own private incredible view over the lake. We would highly recommend you stay here. Amy and Mikey were awesome to communicate with too!
Relaxation at its best.
My partner and I wanted a relaxing stay away from the city and this was perfect.
This was a great stay. Communication was clear and easy. Many thoughtful finishing touches to make the site comfortable and homely. Not a bad word to say. Would definitely return.
An amazing Experience.
My husband and I and our daughter spent a night here on the 7th March and it was just incredible. It exceeded our expectations on so many levels. Amy is lovely and was an ease to communicate with. This is the ultimate glamping experience and we would love to go again. The nature, view, privacy, facilities and the star gazing was amazing. I can't stop raving to everyone about it. Highly recommend this !!!
We absolutely loved our stay at Amy and Mikeys place. We only wish we could have stayed longer. It was truly the highlight of our trip to New Zealand.
Great Time Glamping!
Highly recommend Explore Life Glamping for a night or two as my wife and I had a great time on our honeymoon - even despite the rain. Stupid rain. Amy was amazing in providing all of the necessary items (even had wine glasses for us) and was super helpful in getting us set up.
Staying at Amy’s place (Explore Life Glamping) is such a unique and amazing experience. You get to “camp” outdoors and be one with nature... but still have modern luxuries like a super comfy and cozy bed. The tent was set up in the middle of the bush with an incredible view of the lake. Amy’s attention to detail is amazing, she’s thought of everything you could possibly need from powerbanks to salt and pepper, a thermos, a blanket — everything is right there where you need it. There are also a lot of things to do and explore around the wanaka area, so I recommend staying longer than a night... we stayed 2 nights but wish we stayed at least 3. Most of all, Amy is a wonderful host- warm, friendly and very helpful. This is so far the best and most memorable airbnb experience we’ve had in New Zealand. Thank you Amy!
